Monday Night Preservation Society

Only Nashville would see a burned down 1920’s meat packing facility and think…huh…. let’s make it a taproom.    LOL. Jokes aside, the building itself is gorgeous if you’re into history, brick, and industrial vibes.   It has a stellar Germantown waterfront location with gorgeous view of Nashville and outdoor spaces that are literally what a chill Saturday and Sunday afternoon with friends were made for…comfortable with a great playlist.   It honestly feels less like a public space and more like a friend’s killer backyard.  We had planned on staying for an hour max and ended up leaving 3.5 hours later.  #nashvilleweekends

The taproom itself has 24 draft beers to pick from as well as cocktails and wine for those non-hops people.    Oh…and alcoholic slushies for those that are into that kind of thing.   The snacks are a bit limited but what they do have is perfectly curated individual cheese and hummus boxes that you will gobble up immediately.  We bought 3 boxes for 2 people. ‘Nuff said.

Your usual pub seating can be found inside with a really comfy lounge area with TV for those who have a football addiction and must be near ESPN on the weekends.   The outdoor spaces are our fav and consist of several patios off the main building or walk down the steps to an insanely beautiful burnt-out portion of the building that has been reinforced with steel beams/roof and lit with ambient string lighting.   Really hope they will set up heaters for the colder months as the space is too beautiful not to be utilized year-round.

This fab taproom is only one component to the 14-acre Neuhoff Germantown site that was purchased back in 2019.   Ultimately it will serve as a mixed-use waterfront site with 550 residential units, 50 hotel rooms and 825,000 sq feet of non-residential space for possible shopping, restaurants, and office space.

It’s a unique experience that we 100% recommend. Go…invite a few friends…eat…drink…be merry.

My recommendations:

  • Eat beforehand.   The snacks were perfect but if you go truly hungry, those drinks are going to hit a little different. 😊  Highly recommend The Goat, Jack Browns or The Geist if you want to stay within a few blocks.

  • You’ll be parking in a gravel parking lot (sure they’ll pave at some point) so ditch the 4-inch heels and follow the signs.

  • Pups are allowed in the outdoor spaces if they’re kept on a leash and they will enjoy it as much as you.

  • There’s cornhole on site or bring some cards and recruit some strangers into a friendly game.

  • Bartenders are friendly and accommodating – ask them for a recommendation and you’ll be pleased.

  • As with all places in Nashville, people dressed everywhere from shorts and yoga pants to full out Instagram worthy outfits.  Go as you are…literally no one cares.
